The Reporter is quite proudly a flagship publication for left-wing dissent from the Church in the US. Its supporters would happily acknowledge that, for that’s what they like about it. It is by no means anything like a neutral publication.

It's not scrupulosity. I'm not sure I can articulate the "why" behind the answer, but it is correct that you must mention it at your next confession.
