Re: New "Archbishop" of Canterbury is a woman
So we are back to my original question: what does it mean to be Anglican?

Re: I have new found respect for New Mexico!
I know. I don't think Eris is what they had in mind with the phrase "neighborhood," although it's not entirely clear what they did have in mind. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clearing_the_neighbourhood Stern, the principal investigator of the New Horizons mission to Pluto, disagreed with t...

But Eris doesn't orbit Pluto, so I'm not sure what you mean by "around the orbit".

Indeed, an Apostolic Exhortation is not a weighty document. I've seen some places call it an encyclical, which it isn't. That doesn't mean we can just disregard it, of course.

Re: I have new found respect for New Mexico!
Pluto's biggest moon is Charon, which is about half the diameter and 1/8 the mass of Pluto. It's big enough that both bodies rotate around a point outside of Pluto, but Charon isn't bigger.

Re: New "Archbishop" of Canterbury is a woman
Days after the first female Archbishop of Canterbury, Sarah Mullally, was appointed, visitors were surprised by a new display simulating graffiti painted over the masonry of one of England’s most famous places of worship. U.K.-based news outlet The Times reported that, according to those working at...

Re: Church security
One parish I was at had a stranger show up carrying a metal box. Two people tackled him (I think one was a cop) when he started to open it. Whatever was in it was innocuous, and he threatened to sue because he got a chipped tooth out of. I think he’s lucky that nothing worse happened.

I'm a pastor of country parishes. I'm willing to bet that I have parishioners who are packing at every Mass.

Re: I have new found respect for New Mexico!
He was actually born just a few miles from where I'm sitting in Central IL, but he moved to New Mexico, died there, and is buried there. Well, mostly buried there. Some of his ashes were sent to space on the New Horizons mission to Pluto.
