1 Samuel 18:6-9; 19:1-7
“Saul discussed his intention to kill David with his son Jonathan and with all his servants.”
It’s a shame when someone doesn’t think things through and wants to control those around them instead of revealing the beauty of God in people.
Lord, thank you for your beauty in every person.
Mark 3:7-12
“Jesus withdrew (from the crowd) toward the sea with his disciples. A large number of people [followed] from Galilee and from Judea.”
It’s wonderful to see that people want to be with Jesus.

1 Samuel 24:3-21
David cries out to Saul, “Why do you listen to those who say, ‘David is trying to harm you’?”
There are people who incite others against others. This evil could be avoided through mutual support and a desire to advance the cause of God’s love.
Mark 3:13-19
“Jesus appointed twelve [whom he also named apostles] that they might be with him and he might send them forth to preach and to have authority to drive out demons.”
The twelve appointed by Jesus have the mission of proclaiming the Good News: God is love. This love, when received by people, “drives out demons.”

2 Samuel 1:1-4, 11-12, 19, 23-27
David, speaking of Jonathan: “Jonathan my brother! Most dear have you been to me.”
The story of Jonathan and David is truly wonderful. But there is an even greater wonder: discovering the simple joy of God’s love within us.
Mark 3:20-21
When his relatives heard of this they set out to seize him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”
When people fail to recognize the grace in someone’s heart, in this case, Jesus’ heart, they close themselves off to his work of peace.

Isaiah 8:23b – 9:3
“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light.”
When the people sees “a great light,” they stand with the Lord.
1 Corinthians 1:10-13, 17

Yes, the people can be interesting, but it is necessary to always return to Christ, to the present moment, to the Love of God.
Matthew 4:12-23
“Jesus cured every disease and illness among the people.”
Every person who welcomes the Love of God within themselves allows themselves many healings of the heart.

2 Timothy 1:1-8

Gratitude rises from the heart when a person sees the beauty of God in hearts.
Titus 1:1-5

Mark 3:22-30
The scribes who had come from Jerusalem said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul.”
This contrasts with the kind words Jesus speaks of his friends, because he sees the beauty of God in them.
The scribes here are not reflecting on the beauty of God in Jesus. The less they see it, the more they close themselves off from Jesus.
