A man who was allegedly so unruly on a commercial flight that he had to be duct-taped to his seat has been fired from his real estate company.
Arthur Layne Lundeen, 67, of Arizona, was flying first class from Texas to New Jersey on American Airlines last Thursday when the incident occurred. According to Juan Mejia, a passenger on the flight who spoke to CBS News, Lundeen allegedly got drunk and started berating the passenger next to him. Mejia said at some point Lundeen began attacking his seat mate.

2. It is officially called a doohicky.
3. As DW has pointed out for decades, many in our current society cannot distinguish between a public venue and their living room. Thus, children literally running around a restaurant and climbing onto tables. And getting drunk and assailing someone sitting next to you.

I think they need something better than duct tape; there needs to be a standard procedure and standard equipment. They were lucky they had someone on board who duct tape.

It's still not good enough, he was resisting and probably could have broken out if they hadn't made an emergency landing to hand him over to the FBi.
