This forum was inspired by Steve Ray's Defenders of the Catholic Faith (frequently referred to as "DCF"), which had recently been hosted by Ave Maria Radio. I was deeply saddened when AMR recently announced they would no longer host the board. The thought of becoming disconnected from a community of people I had considered friends for so long deeply saddened me. And so stilldcf.com was born.

The purpose of this board is 3-fold.

1) To provide a place where people interested in the Catholic faith can ask questions and get answers. We strive to be faithful to the Magesterium of the Catholic Church. Basic questions of this nature belong in Catholicism 101. Deeper questions go in the Lyceum. No debate is allowed in these forums.

2) To provide a place where free debate is allowed. Disagreement is fine. Disrespect is not. Posts that include name calling or insults, etc., will be edited or removed. Religious subjects may be debated in Apologetics. Political topics go in the Politics forum.

3) To provide a place for fellowship. The Pub is for that. We ask that you introduce yourself in Welcome and Introductions, and we look forward to getting to know you.

Please be advised that all new accounts have restricted functionality at first, and as an anti-spam protection Initially posts will usually need administrative review before appearing. It's not personal, just a necessary safeguard.

More to come. I am happy to open the board and hope to see friends, new and old, with me soon.
