I used the term "facediapers" because it was, and still is dehumanizing. The way folks were afraid to interact with each other, muzzling their children who were at little to no risk, wearing them outside, in cars. The "cure" was worse than the illness.

I could have called you a 'tin foil hatter' but I referred in general to 'anti maskers'. I don't believe that masks don't work but I respect that you do hence me not being nasty towards you.

To back up your claim, do you have evidence - or even first-hand anecdotal accounts - of a person who was in ICU, on a ventalator, who died, from wearing a mask?
I consider the people who lost family and friends when they died from Covid to be worse off than someone who had to wear a mask in order to go to Lowe's.

People lost jobs, businesses, suicide rates skyrocketed, depression among children was an epidemic it's self!

Not answering my question, let's try it this way:
Is losing a job worse than losing mom when she died from COVID?
Is losing a business worse than losing two friends when they died from COVID?
Could you present studies that link wearing a mask to suicide? Everything I read links stay-at-home orders to increasing suicidal ideation and suicide. Masks and stay-at-home orders are two distinctly different things.
Same for reports that tie masks to depression in children, I cannot find one study that cites masks as the reasons

The children were at little to no risk, either to themselves or others. If you want to trade in freedom for the illusion of safety be my guest, just don't push it on the general public through fear mongering.

You may find it interesting that COVID is the US's #1 cause of death by respiratory/infectious diseases in humans age 0 - 19.

You keep citing studies and demand that I provide them for my claims. I don't trust studies today, I know that they are manipulated to fit political agendas. Classic example would be the proponents of "gender affirming care." At every Matt Walsh rally they're up there face in phones citing studies that show how this "medical intervention" is saving lives. There are some things that we don't need to appeal to authority for, common sense will suffice. I am not an "anti masker", it has it's place among the most vulnerable. Then only with the correct mask worn properly, by in large this was not done, it was all theater.

secondly the one link to the video I posted disputes the death toll in Sweden, that it was actually far less than the rest of the world.
It wasn't though.
Keep in mind, many reports of "Covid deaths" were people who died with Covid, not necessarily from it.
There is rarely a single cause of death, the question is whether a person with comorbidities would have died without covid.

The answer to both is no, but are those really the only alternatives?
Let me try this: Is losing your liberty worse than complying with rules that have no practical effect?
I found this useful observation on National Review's web site. It's worth a look:
And so we have two facts staring us in the face. (1) Kids — even unvaccinated children — are not in serious danger from COVID-19. It is a disease that is less dangerous to them than the flu. (2) Masks, particularly the kind of cloth-jersey masks that are worn at schools, are not just ineffective at stopping COVID but may be worse as a mitigation effort against COVID than no mask at all.

Kids get sick and do die from COVID.

You are free to disbelieve this, however, sneering at people who do believe in risk is rather baffling.

Not sure where you live, I have not seen a mask mandate at a school for years now. Not sure why arguing about the type of masks that were available to folks back in 2020 is fruitful, but, okay people tried with what they had. Science has learned more since the pandemic.

We live in a,dangerous world, death can and will come for us at any time, usually sooner than we think. I am not willing to trade my freedom for safety. If you think that the draconian measures taken during the plandemic were bad, wait till next time, we're likely to see folks rounded up in camps, perhaps worse.

So, I take it that you ignore speed limits, that you cross streets or highways without looking for oncoming traffic, that you don't lock your doors or keep meds in childproof containers, that your kids are free to play in traffic, with razorblades and electric outlets and gasoline, you would not put them in car seats, do not vet their babysitters... 'Cmon, we all trade our freedom, and restrict our children's' freedoms, for safety dozens of times each day.

In my personal experience, there was not anything I would consider "draconian". The biggest PITA for me was when I had elective surgery in June of 2020, I could not have visitors in the hospital, and that kinda sucked.

Ahhhh, one can tell which YouTubers/Podcast a person listens to with phrases like that. Bet a ham sandwich you tune in to Alex Jones pretty often!

I never listen to Alex Jones!
I take what I consider to be reasonable precautions. Growing up we never wore seatbelts, road in the back of trucks as shifting cargo! Drank from garden hoses, washed paint brushes in led based gas, burned our rubbish...most of us are still here and thriving.

Here's where I lose track of your reasoning. Do you think the developments of mandated measures related to
those things, were useless measures that had no effect on the wellbeing of the community the way you say masks saved no one?

I can't definitely say that, but by in large, I believe they were practically useless. No matter what we did or didn't do, this virus was and is going to run it's course.
