One cannot draw any conclusions about where Leo will take the Church, or about his theology or administrative priorities, based on what he has done so far. Absent a major crisis, Popes rarely do much during the first year of their reign; they are more concerned with learning the ropes and adjusting to the role of Pope.

The number of Popes who immediately started doing major things right out of the gate, again, absent a major crisis, is small.

Give it 5 years, then we will have some idea of where he is going.
