I'm reading articles that are very strange to say the least.

Any of y'all in Texas have some clear light on the situation?

Linking one article just for reference

I have no idea whether any of the allegations are true, but I will say this much, when Bp. Olson began his investigation, he did not have the necessary jurisdiction because the monastery is autonomous. And it's disturbing he has basically been appointed judge of a dispute to which he is a party.

While the diocese claims the nun admitted to that misconduct, representatives for the nun deny that claim. They say that Gerlach made an admission last year of unchastity, but without specifying details, and only while she was under the influence of opioids after surgical procedures.
If this part is true, it (to me) is the most troubling. I mean, take a look at the photo of Mother Teresa Agnes. Even if it did happen, I find it very difficult to believe that this was recent. I deal daily with the odd ramblings of a family member under palliative care. Some of the stuff I hear comes from so far out of left field that I just have to shake my head and pray that no one else who might be present takes it seriously. I'm not arguing that an investigation isn't warranted (it could conceivably be true, after all), but this should never had been allowed (by either party) to have become public knowledge until and unless there were any corroboration of the allegations.
