Eyeglass prices

In October 2022, I got my first pair of prescription glasses, bifocals, with a bunch of enhancements like a blue light filter and a special non-scratch coating, after my insurance was applied, they cost me $450. I first noticed problems with my vision in 2013, but not being able to afford prescription glasses, I made do with cheap reading glasses until I could afford a prescription pair.
In February this year, for my birthday, I got a coupon for $50% off a new pair, my prescription did not change, but I figured it could be useful to have more than one pair, in case something happened to my main pair, I got everything exactly the same, same prescription, same enhancements, and I was told that after my 50% discount, the cost was $406, after the 50% discount. In a little more than a year, the price of my glasses jumped from $450 to $812, nearly double. I balked at the price and asked to remove the special coating and the blue light filter, and after stripping everything down and applying my insurance, they cost me $226. This means that without the 50% discount, they would cost $452, or more than I paid in Oct 2022 for glasses with all the extras.
Why did the cost increase so much in such a short time, this is not a result of inflation, the increase is several times greater than inflation.
Has anyone experienced something similar?
