I assume there are several layers of plywood boards on the seat. Or does this come equipped with Fred Flintstone acceleration/brakes?

We had a truck in worse shape than that. Mr. Crunch. It was wrecked a few times, went over a cliff once, wound up in a pond another time, and was still going. We could see the ground under our feet in a few places. I can't remember if that was the truck where the steering column wound up in hubby's lap, or if it was the other truck in similar shape. He didn't even stop, just grabbed some wire and wired it back in place. And that's how it stayed until it went to the iron heap with Mr. Crunch.

My father had a VW Beetle like that once.
