If he is unfit to run for another term, he is unfit to complete this term, He needs to resign immediately. Not that he will or that Democrats will ask him to. If everything was exactly the same but Biden was leading in the polls, not one Democrat would have asked him to step aside.

He needs to stay in office until November 6 so he can pardon Hunter

This is not good news. Harris is worse than Biden.

She is simultaneously less intelligent (how that is possible I honestly don't know, but it is true) and less popular. In her run in 2020, she topped out at 1% and has somehow become even less popular among Democrats since then. Tulsi Gabbard ended Kamala's campaign in the first debate. After Hulk Hogan's appearance on Thursday night, I feel like using a wrestling analogy, Tulsi gave Kamala a pile driver, jabbed her with a Macho Man Randy Savage elbow from the top ropes and then finished her off with a figure four leglock. Kamala didn't even get a single punch in.

What is her morality like? Does she have skeletons in the closet?

The media and the D's have so obviously (a) known about his mental state and (b) been complicit in trying to hide that from the public that even as cynical as I am, I am truly amazed that anyone will still turn to the mainstream media for any kind of truth of whatever sort, ever, at all, about anything. But they do. Evidently, the average American genuinely believes that the media and the D's were shocked, shocked, I say, at Biden's debate performance. You are complete right...if Biden were leading in the polls, Biden would still be the candidate, no question.
But of course, we can't vote for Trump because after all, he's in favor of IVF.

I'm voting for Trump just as I did in 2016 and 2020. If a candidate has to be 100% in line with Church teaching on every issue, then Catholics will never vote in any election ever, it will be like Italy before the Lateran Accords of 1929 where Catholics were forbidden from ever voting in any election under pain of excommunication.

That was just a crack, not serious. I'm an eager Trump voter, like in 2020.

It's not being 100% Catholic that matters but just being decent. Following Trumps Twitter feed today, it's just a turn off to watch.

"Running for office" requires different things than holding an office. For a sitting POTUS, the campaign is a second full-time job on top of an already tough full time job.
Y'all got what you wanted, yet, are not content with it.

I think Doom's point is likely that running for office is a far less important and challenging job than being President. And since Biden is manifestly unfit to handle the former, then a fortiori he is unfit for the latter.
FWIW, I didn't want Biden to drop out of the race, since I figure the replacement, especially if it's someone "exciting" like Michele Obama, has better chance of winning than Biden does.

I never wanted him to be President in the first place.

I wonder if Joe knows he's no longer in the race.

I was ambivalent as to whether he dropped out or not.

Good question. I hate to seem like a conspiracy-minded nutbar, but others have brought up an interesting point. All we know is that this resignation letter came out with an electronic signature. How do we know he wrote this, or approved of it?
And has Biden been seen since? Is he locked away somewhere, assuming he's even alive?

He knows. Kamala had him on speakerphone and they engaged in a love fest for her campaign workers. They both left Netanyahu cooling his heels on the tarmac when he arrived.
