To Save the Environment We First Have to Destroy It

This seems to be the logic of the environmentalist zealots who are currently cutting down thousands of previously protected Joshua trees in the Mojave Desert to build a massive solar panel farm. The contract and the exemption from the previous fine of $4,100 per tree destroyed were awarded four years in a behind-closed-doors meeting between California state officials and the "environmentalists" who want to build the panels.
If the concern is to prevent "global warming" or "climate change" or whatever the current trendy term is, due to excess CO2 in the atmosphere, then it makes absolutely no sense to remove trees that convert CO2 to oxygen. If we want to reduce CO2 levels, the easiest, most environmentally friendly, and least expensive way to do this is by planting billions and billions and billions more trees which are natural air scrubbers, not by chopping them down.
The worst part about this is that the solar panel farm that will be built on the site won't even send electricity to the residents who are currently protesting the destruction of the forest, but it will be sent thousands of miles away to Silicon Valley.
Tell me again that "Green Energy" is all about protecting the environment

well, most of the problem with the 'green zealots' is that they are all of them, to a one, idiots.

This project is run by a corporation, not an environmental group:

Do you think that "corporation" and "environmentalist group" are a contradiction? All corporations are anti-environment, and all environmentalists are anti-corporate? That being an environmental activist corporation is like being a Jewish Nazi? It is by no means that simple. This is a "green energy" company, which means that they are supposedly committed to "protecting the environment," and they have the backing of several supposedly "pro-environmental" backers. Yes, this is being promoted as a project to "save the environment" by preventing climate change, that is how it was sold to the state of California.
Are you also going to tell me that "rich people" all vote Republican even though most millionaires and billionaires, from Hollywood to Silicon Valley, including Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and George Soros, all donate millions exclusively to the Democrats, and hold massive fundraisers for the Democrats too, not to mention Hollywood billionaires like Steven Spielberg? Or that corporations are all Republicans although all the really big corporations, Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft, and Time Warner, all support the Democrats? Or that Republicans are the big fundraisers even though Democrats raise anywhere from 5-10 times more money than Republicans every election cycle? Kamala Harris was recently bragging that she has raised more than $500 in a month, while Trump hasn't raised even half that much in the last 18 months, his total is $196 million, in 18 months.
This isn't a black-and-white world, a dichotomous world we live in, corporate interests, environmentalist lobby interests, Democratic party interests, the interests of billionaires, these are all different ways of saying the same thing.

Corporations have one and only one important thing, and that is PROFITS. If they can throw up some window dressing that makes people think they are pro environment or anti environment or pro this or anti that and it boosts profits - great! In general, they donate to both political parties because they want to have the ear of the POTUS and of Congress because laws impact PROFITS.
This is an example of a corporation that saw "people want clean energy, there are tax breaks or some other government incentive that impacts PROFITS, so, let's GO"
Did you read that Dollar Tree is raising their top prices to like $7? Because they smell higher tariffs on imported goods coming, so, let's protect PROFITS.
It is insane that many consumers do not think past the nose on the end of their face.

Environmental zealots don't care about the environment or people.
When they talk about "reducing carbon" - remember that WE ARE the Carbon they want to reduce.
It is a code word for extermination of "excess population" and reducing everyone into poverty.
