I was surprised, but not shocked....he had obviously been in decline since February. I would not be at all surprised to learn that his release from Gemelli hospital last month was at his direction and not because he was suddenly "getting Better"....rest in peace Holy Father!!

No, he was released due to the common belief that it would be undignified for a Pope to die in a hospital and it would be better to die in the Vatican
