And now, they are hijacking all the TV channels in the country to broadcast anti-regime propaganda. In yesterday's broadcast, the son of the last Shah appeared and gave a speech promising that the Ayatollah and everyone in the government will face a war crimes trial, which he explicitly compared to Nuremberg.

Does anyone here know that pro-American and Pro-Israel protestors are on the verge of toppling the government?

Don't you remember how, after Saddam was toppled in 2003, CNN admitted that they had been lying for years about what was going on in the country because they feared retaliation if they told the truth. Every corporate media outlet that has people on the ground in Iran has a vested interest in promoting regime friendly propoganda, for the same reason that CNN admitted that they had been lying about the sitation in Iraq.

According to polls that Western nations have taken of Iran in the last 10 years, only about 20% of the population believes in Islam. 40% consider themselves Christian or Zoroastrian, and another 40% consider themselves atheists.

Given that this is a counntry where one can be killed for expressing the "wrong" opinion, the fact that so many are willing to speak openly to foreigners about this is a sign that support for Islam is probably even lower than polls suggest.

The problem is that he is missing and hasn't been seen or heard from in days. The best possible news is that he is dead, having been killed during the uprising.
