The United States criticizes Israel’s conduct of the war in Gaza.

Washington complained of a gap between its promise to protect civilians and what’s happening on the ground. The Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, told a news conference that the location of safe areas should be clearly communicated, and they should be fully supplied with basics such as water, food, and medicine.
“There does remain a gap between ... the intent to protect civilians and the actual results that we’re seeing on the ground,” Blinken said.
Over the last few weeks, tens of thousands of Palestinians have fled to Rafah near the border with Egypt as concentrated fighting continues in and around Khan Younis.
Raid on refugee camp
Elsewhere, the Palestinian Health Ministry in the occupied West Bank says six Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in an operation at a refugee camp, north of Nablus.
Israeli media reported skirmishes after troops raided the camp on Friday morning.
Later, the United Nations Security Council will meet to vote on whether to call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Earlier, the UN’s humanitarian chief Martin Griffiths said its humanitarian program in the enclave was no longer functioning.
This crisis began back in October when Hamas attacked Israel killing 1,200 people and taking 240 hostages, including many women and children.
Hamas says since then, Israel has killed more than 17,000 people in its retaliatory campaign.

Two women killed in Israeli attack on Holy Family parish in Gaza
Israelis have opened fire on Gaza's Christians. Following heavy bombardment overnight of the area around Holy Family Latin parish in Gaza City, dozens are reported dead, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, and reports continue to arrive that shooting by Israeli snipers continues during these hours.
A statement released by the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem confirmed that an Israeli sniper murdered two Christian women inside the Holy Family Parish where the majority of Christian families have taken refuge since the start of the war.
Shot in cold blood
The victims are Nahida and her daughter Samar who were shot and killed as they walked to the Sister's Convent. "One was killed as she tried to carry the other to safety," the statement said.
Seven more people were reportedly also shot and wounded as they tried to protect those inside the church compound. The Patriarchate's statement noted, "No warning was given, no notification was provided. They were shot in cold blood inside the premises of the Parish, where there are no belligerents."
Attack on Missionaries of Charity Convent
The statement also revealed that a rocket fired from an Israeli Defense Forces tank during the morning targeted and struck the Convent of the Sisters of Mother Theresa, destroying the building's generator - its only source of electricity - while a massive fire damaged the house.
"The Convent is home to over 54 disabled persons and is part of the church compound, which was signalled as a place of worship since the beginning of the war," it said.
The building was subsequently targeted by two more rockets rendering the home inhabitable: "The 54 disabled persons are currently displaced and without access to the respirators that some of them need to survive."
Heavy bombing in the area
Three other people were also wounded inside the church compound during the night attacks, while solar panels and water tanks, which are indispensable for the survival of the community, were destroyed.
The ongoing attack was reportedly justified by Israelis who claimed the presence of a rocket launcher in the parish. Despite the Patriarchate's intervention, the operation has not been halted. Israeli soldiers reportedly fired towards the parish compound and the civilians sheltering in the building.
Senseless tragedy
The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem concluded expressing closeness and condolences to the families "affected by this senseless tragedy."
It says it is in prayer with the whole Christian community, and at the same time expresses a lack of comprehension for "how such an attack could be carried out, even more so as the whole Church prepares for Christmas."

First and foremost, eradicate hamas. Every last member. Perhaps not the most Christian of sentiments. But when one's whole goal and purpose is to kill jews (or anyone, for that matter), I fail to see why they should continue to exist.

Coursing along a similar vein of sentiment and logic, the Israeli government also seems pretty keen on committing genocide against innocent Palestinians in Gaza. Both sides need to be taken to justice.
Whoever said that we should learn history to keep from repeating mistakes was wet behind the ears. The generation who lived through WW2 and witnessed the holocaust hasn't even finished dying off yet.
