Bishop Robert Barron on the "Synod of Synodality"

Post by Gandalf the Grey »

I wonder how long before the Leftist section of "Catholic" media start to pin the label of "Rad Trad" on Bishop Barron, who is pretty much the poster-image of the moderate down-the-middle Bishop as you can get.

I had a quick scan of the news reports related to the Bishops reflection, but it seems limited to the right wing outlets mistakenly claiming that he bashed the synod and synodality. In fact the Bishop was expressing his joys and concerns in exactly the way synodality facilitates.

From the article:
Generally speaking, I was worried that both the Instrumentum Laboris and the synod conversations were far more preoccupied with the ad intra than with the ad extra, and this despite the fact that Pope Francis has been consistently calling for a Church that goes out from itself.
That's a kind way of saying that the Synod amounted to a bunch of navel gazing.

Did you even read the article I cited? Or is your argument centered on committing the Genetic Fallacy?
