Anonymous Democrat Senator damns Kamala with faint praise

"She wasn’t a great candidate,” one Democratic senator said of Harris’s performance as a presidential candidate in 2020 when she pulled out of the Democratic primary before the Iowa caucuses.

“And she may not be as a political campaigner as good as Biden was in his prime”



Not as good a campaigner as Biden? Biden in his prime was a HORRIBLE campaigner.

Not since someone at work told me, after seeing Dune Part 2 that "It is better than the 1984 version" have I seen someone so unenthusiastic. The only candidate I can think of who was a worse campaigner is Hillary I the dowager Empress of Chappaqua.

But Harris is without a doubt the most far-left candidate the Democrats have ever run, she is further to the left than Bernie Sanders, the doddering old Communist apologist from Vermont. She represents the party though, which is now so far to the left that they probably think Nikita Kruschev was a reactionary.

One good measure of at least emotional intelligence and the capacity to be able to empathize with others is the ability to speak extemporaneously. Reagan was an expert at it, and so was Bill Clinton, Barack Obama could not speak coherently without a teleprompter, and Joe Biden in his prime could do anything but shut up, you gave him 5 minutes to talk and he would take 90 minutes, a lot of what he said was incoherent nonsense, but he didn't stumble or stutter.

Kamala Harris could be the worst extemporaneous speaker in the history of American national politics. She has never really had to campaign in a competitive election, and many Democrats are getting nervous about anointing her.
