You Won't Have To Vote Anymore

Post by Kage_ar »

Trump said: "Christians, get out and vote, just this time. "You won't have to do it anymore. Four more years, you know what, it will be fixed, it will be fine, you won't have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians."

He added: "I love you Christians. I'm a Christian. I love you, get out, you gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don't have to vote again, we'll have it fixed so good you're not going to have to vote," Trump said.

Yep, Trump is so evil, such a huge massive threat to everything we hold dear, 10 times worse than Hitler, someone should shoot him, it's the only way to save democracy.

That's the only conclusion a rational person could draw from the kind of extreme rhetoric the left has employed relentlessly for the last 9 years.

Let's be clear about what the Democrat plan is

If we can just

Imprison Trump,

make sure no candidate except the Democrat nominee (to be named and changed as many times as necessary until they find someone people want to vote for) is on the ballot in November

Pack the Supreme Court with Democrat cronies, maybe after impeaching and removing all the Republican justices

End voter ID and lift all restrictions on voting by convicted felons, illegal immigrants and laws that prevent people from voting multiple times

Censor everybody's speech

Then we can save democracy!

Or we can convince ourselves that a guy who is a bit of a jester and who likes making jokes about how he is going to make everything so perfect no elections will be necessary. AN OBVIOUSLY FACETIOUS COMMENT is a bigger threat to democracy than the actual Democrat agenda

Just look at the recent Democrat attacks on the Supreme Court, which they have labeled "A threat to democracy". Where did all this vitriol suddenly come from?

Mostly, it came from the overturning of Roe Vs Wade which threatened abortion, the only thing in the world they hold sacred. I like to mock them by referring to "The Sacrament of Holy Abortion", the only sacrament they believe in, I especially like to say that phrase when dealing with liberal "Catholics" who favor abortion, it makes them so angry, not because it isn't true, but because they know my mockery is true of the reverence they hold for the right to kill babies.

The vitriol also comes from their realization that their nearly 90-year-long (going back to FDR) control over the courts is now gone, the Courts will no longer blindly do the bidding of the left, the courts are asserting their independence, a lack of control is one thing they absolutely will not tolerate.

I used to distinguish between "the left" and "the Democrats" but the left is so completely in control of the Democrats that the distinction is non-existent and I use the terms interchangeably.

The left is totalitarian by nature, they think they are entitled to control everything. They run the corporations, they run the universities, they run the vast majority of the Protestant Churches (and a good chunk of the Catholic Church), they control the media, and there is not a single institution they do not control. Except the courts, and Fox News.

And whatever they don't control, they delegitimize. Thus, the new attacks on the Supreme Court, which in their mind will remain "a threat to democracy" until they reassert control over it.

So, Doom, now that you have that out of your system, (and praytell where I have endorsed any candidate?? also, there are other parties - we do not have to vote Republican or Democrat)

Does anyone find the statements about "vote once and you won't have to vote anymore" to be a creepy thing to say and underline and say again?

Not really, if by "creepy" you think he is threatening to make himself king or dictator or something. Who knows what he actually meant front 2 lines plucked out of a speech - but I highly doubt it is a threat of that sort.

What I do find creepy is the kingmaking going on amongst the Democrats.

Yeah, I wouldn't call it creepy. I'd call it Trumpy. It seems pretty obviously like it's inflated campaign rhetoric of the peculiarly Trumpian variety. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 I think that the NRA, for example, has loudly trumpeted that repeatedly in their magazines during every single election while I've been a member. Trump, naturally, takes it to the next level, saying in effect not only that this is the MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION EVER, but that in fact it is the only election that will ever matter, ever again. That's silly and very Trumpy. But creepy, no.

On the other hand, the idea that is evidently floating around that he is somehow giving us a hint of his plans to install himself as dictator for life is truly silly and perhaps a bit creepy. :fyi:

The MOST IMPORTANT EVERRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! has been every election of my memory (I remember every election since 1968 when we kids playing together would taunt each other "Wallace, Wallace, he's our man, he'll throw Nixon in the garbage can/Nixon, Nixon he's our man, he'll throw Wallace in the garbage can" until we outshouted the other group of kids. Guess you can tell who our parents were supporting back in those days :)

He basically said this is a very important election but that there wouldn't be such a huge push to vote in four years because he's going to fix the issues with elections that have allowed the Democrats to rig them.

that is a very succinct and correct summary, all while tweaking the democrats and their media sources.

I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would think Trump (or heck, any republican) would ascribe to a position that isn't Constitutional. Heck, all his speeches, virtually all of his website proposals (Agenda 47, I think its called), have nothing but things you'd associate with the Constitution. And then there is 4+ years of experience of him actually being in office to draw on.

Except the POTUS is not a king, he does not rule by fiat. The most perfect human on this earth since Mary could not make the USA perfect by sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office for 4 years.

The President of the United States actually has far more power than any king. I'm not saying this approvingly, by the way, just stating what is. Of course Trump can't make the USA "perfect," but there are many things that can be done to reduce corruption in elections. Whether increased "democracy" is desirable is another question.

I was thinking of a "storybook" king, not of the real life kings today.

I wasn't thinking just of today's kings but most of history's monarchs.

I know what he meant.

After his next term, a complete extremist leftist will be elected and the Christian vote will be ignored.

what and why? IT's good you know what he meant - it couldn't be any more clear from his 70+ years of history. But I don't get the 'why' of the second sentence?

Because the left is Christophobic and won't listen to Christians anyway. So the Christian vote would become worthless during their rule.

Going to attribute this to your using hyperbole (I knew a guy back in the day who pronounced it "haper- bowl" so that is what I hear every time I type it :ugeek: )

Through my work and life experiences, I have attended National leaders' conventions for Right To Life, RNC (both of them in my teen years and again in the early 00s) and DNC (in 2022).

I can only attest to the events I witnessed, but, I could not in good faith call any of these political groups "Christophobic" or that they considered the Christian vote worthless. The reason I accepted the invitation to the DNC event was to see with my own eyes if the things I'd been told over and over were going to happen/not happen.
