The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection

Post by anawim »

Not an actual trailer; More of a teaser. It's set for release on Apr. 18, 2025 (Good Friday).

Interesting.
Thank you for your patience as I build the board. I have about 1/16 to go.

The good deacon's article from years ago still reflects the opinions I hold on this sequel

Edited to add. If this film is going to be released in the spring, why is there only a "concept trailer"? Post production takes 6 months to a year, there ought to be a real trailer, most of this ought to be in the bag.

It is too early for a full trailer, 6 months out, a teaser. 2-3 months away comes the full trailer. Captain America Brave New World will be released on February 14, and they only released the first full trailer last week, about 2 1/2 months before release. Indeed, full trailers are coming later and later, the first trailer for Thor Love and Thunder was barely 6 weeks before release.
If you ever feel like Captain Picard yelling about how many lights there are, it is probably time to leave the thread.

To be fair Disney is particularly egregious in this regard. But as far as I know Passion 2 isn't even supposed to start filming until 2025.

That makes much more sense. My Godson is in the film industry, it really is a "small town" of an industry and he says nothing has been green lit yet for this film.

This would be an interesting movie to see. Mel Gibson knocked it out of the park with the original. Can he do it again?

Agree. There are people who are just pining to see another film from Mel Gibson.

I am not amongst them

Any trailer is fake - but did you mean the movie itself? It's been pretty widely reported that it's in development. Maybe it will never happen but that doesn't make it "fake"

I look forward to this film.,It’s about time they did the part 2, the resurrection. Mel Gibson has stood fearlessly and spoken epic truths.

Saw Gibson yesterday on TV. He said that he hoped to get Resurrection started sometime this year.

If it is 1/10 the movie as Passion, it will be well worth seeing.
