Book Suggestions for Teens

Post by blueyedmule »

For a boy, thirteen, who thinks he needs to be reading horror and manga, or playing video games and watching shorts. Strictly religious is probably a non-starter right now (aka lives of saints).

I cannot recommend a book for anyone unless I know the person personally and what he/she is interested in
If you ever feel like Captain Picard yelling about how many lights there are, it is probably time to leave the thread.

For Manga/Comics (we carry these in our parish shop, they are wildly popular)

This one is a particular favorite of mine

These are not specifically Catholic, but, I've liked some of them:

They also have reviews of various GNs, etc from a Christian perspective:

There is good horror. The classics in Graphic Novel form:

Lovecraft

Classic horror helps to refine one's taste!
Trophy Dwarf, remember??

My 12 year old is on a major Agatha Christie kick these days. He also likes the Eragon books. I dunno how many there are.
