California sues Catholic hospital for refusing to perform abortion

This is the same state that recently passed a law taking children away from parents who refuse to “affirm” a child’s “gender identity”

This one looks like the hospital may very well have been wrong. Ruptured membranes means the child is dying, the mother's life is in danger. An early delivery of the child (knowing very well the child may not live, however, there is not direct killing of the child) would have been the proper procedure. I'd bet a ham sandwich that someone at the hospital messed up on this one.

Could very well be that the mother did not want that particular procedure
I am reminded that the Doe in Doe vs Bolton, the companion case to Roe vs Wade which actually reversed the decision, not only didn’t request an abortion but also wasn’t even aware that a case was filed on her behalf until years later
